The Fayette County 4-H Shooting Sports  club is a program that is centered on youth development, under the direction of certified 4-H shooting sports trained instructors. Children ages 9-18 (as of January 1, 2017) are eligible to join our club.  Our members learn techniques in the areas of Shotgun, Archery, Rifle, and Pistol. They learn to handle the firearms in a proper way. Our members are instilled with a level of confidence and appreciation that will spill over into other areas of their life. We use a learn-by-doing approach to enable youth to develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to become competent, caring and contributing citizens of the world.

Our Rifle/Pistol practices are held together one Saturday a month at Bud's Gun Shop & Range at 9:30 am, beginning in February and ending in September.  Our Shotgun practices are held at The Bluegrass Sportsman's League in Wilmore and are held on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at 6:30 pm, beginning in April and ending in September.  Archery practice is held at Masterson Station Pavilion on the 1st and 3rd Monday's of each month, starting in April and ending in September.
