The Fayette County 4-H Shooting Sports  club is a program that is centered on youth development, under the direction of certified 4-H shooting sports trained instructors. Children that are ages 9-18 (as of January 1, 2019) and are Fayette County residents are eligible to join our club.  Our members learn techniques in the areas of Shotgun, Archery, Rifle, and Pistol. They learn to handle the firearms in a proper way. Our members are instilled with a level of confidence and appreciation that will spill over into other areas of their life. We use a learn-by-doing approach to enable youth to develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to become competent, caring and contributing citizens of the world.

Registration fees is $55 per child. Our Rifle/Pistol practices are held together one Saturday a month at Bud's Gun Shop & Range at 9:30 am, beginning in February and ending in September. Our Shotgun practices are held at The Bluegrass Sportsman's League in Wilmore and are held on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at 6:30 pm, beginning in April and ending in September.  For Shotgun there is a fee of $5.00 per 25 clays shot paid to BGSL.  You can give the fee to a coach or coordinator and they will give to the office when they leave.  Archery practice is held at Masterson Station Park in the Pavilion starting in April and ending in September.
